The best and brightest in Wallaceburg have been honoured with the 19th annual Wallaceburg Business & Community Excellence Awards.
In all, 12 honours were handed out at The Clubhouse at Baldoon on Thursday night.
Sheldon Parsons was named Citizen of the Year.
The United Way’s Brian Armitage proudly accepted the Chip Gordon Community Builder Award.
James Bolos of The James Street Eatery named the Entrepreneur of the Year.
Chris’ No Frills received the Business of the Year award and Dr. Lauren Freeburn was named the Young Professional Award winner.
The Technology Award went home with Eternity’s Touch, while the Wallaceburg BIA won the Environmental Award.
The Industrial Achievement Award went to AarKel Tool and Die, which has increased to $50 million in sales.
Wallaceburg Christian School Charity Thrift Store Re:Find won the Volunteer of the Year, and McDonald’s in Wallaceburg was given the Community Inclusion Award.
Local landscaper Jack Wilford received the Wallaceburg BIA Award while Lucille Laprise won the Dresden BIA Award.
