Walpole Island Ferry Resumes Service

For the first time in months, the Walpole Island Ferry will be setting sail across the St Clair River,

After wading through COVID restrictions and travel regulations for the past two years, the ferry operator is finally able to resume regular trips to Algonac, Michigan.

For the time being, the ferry will run from 2pm to 10pm Monday through Friday, and 6:50am until 10pm on weekends.

However, officials warn the St Clair River can experience fog and high winds, and the service will only run when conditions are safe.

Travellers will be responsible for filling out the ArriveCan app before coming back to Canada, and following all Health Canada and Canada Border Service Agency regulations.
