The Walpole Island Niibing Powwow kicks off this weekend, starting at noon each day.
Today’s line-up includes, the Miss Bkejwanong Pageant, coronation ceremony, drum contest, sugar bear fancy dance special, MMIV special and much more.
Everyone is invited to partake in the free event, come out and relish in Indigenous crafts, singing and delicious food.
Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs, mosquito repellent and cash.
