High praise for local law enforcement.
The annual West Region Ontario Provincial Police Awards Ceremony was hosted by Elgin OPP yesterday, recognizing acts of bravery, community service and dedication from officers, auxiliaries, and civilians.
Among those being honoured were members of the Walpole Island Police Service, receiving the Commissioner’s Commendation for Exemplary Performance of Duty in assisting the OPP.
Officials say the recognition reflects the officers’ courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting and serving their community.
