A tense standoff ended peacefully on Walpole Island Tuesday afternoon.

Officers from Walpole Island First Nations Police Service, Lambton County OPP, Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue and K9 units were called to a home on Brother Road around 7am with reports of the man barricading himself in.

About six hours later, the man gave up the standoff and was arrested without incident.
