Effective immediately, schools on Walpole Island are dismissing students and will revert to online learning due to potential exposure to COVID-19.
Both Bkejwanong Kinomaagewgamig and Anishinaabeg Kinomaagewgamig will be closed immediately, with plans to return to in-class learning on March 17th.
That will allow a 14 day monitoring period from the last day any exposure could have occurred.
At this time, one student has been confirmed as a positive case, according to officials.
