A forged cheque has landed a Walpole Island woman in hot water.
Last December, the accused allegedly cashed a trucking company payroll cheque at Money Mart in Wallaceburg.
However, the cheque had been flagged as stolen, and was returned last month, sparking a police investigation.
The 27-year-old accused, whose name was on the cheque, was arrested last night.
She’s been charged with possession of stolen property, uttering forged documents, and fraud.
