One of Canada’s largest transportation shows is returning to the streets and waterways of Wallaceburg for its 35th year.

The Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO) takes place Friday through Sunday with classic cars, and motorcycles lining up throughout the downtown core. Antique boats will also be featured on the Sydenham River.

Organizer Brent DeNure said the antique firetruck display this year will be a highlight of the event.

“We got a group of folks coming from all over the place. [From] Ontario east of Kitchener, up Toronto way, and in the United States as far away as Genesee, Pennsylvania,” he said.

A Knights of Columbus BBQ will be held at the K of C Hall on the corner of Murray Street and Baseline Road, and there will also be several musical performances taking place throughout the weekend.

With the Wallaceburg walking bridge still closed to pedestrians, the “People Mover” will be on the roads carrying attendees between the north and south sides of the river.
