A man already wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant and who is known to frequent the Chatham-Kent area is now a suspect in a violent home invasion in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service said officers were called to Aspenshore Avenue on March 18 after two men wearing masks and armed with a gun forced their way into a home. The men assaulted two elderly occupants and stole a large quantity of jewelry before fleeing the scene. Both victims were treated for minor injuries.

Following an investigation, the Windsor Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit identified four suspects as conspirators in the home invasion.

The majority of the suspects, three men ranging in age from 32 to 41, were arrested earlier this week and are facing a long list of weapon and assault charges. However, the fourth suspect, 30-year-old Nicholas McCullough, has not been located.

McCullough faces nearly 20 charges in connection to the home invasion including, two counts of assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, break-and-enter to commit an offence, and false representation of a peace officer, among others.

He is also currently the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for a variety of other charges after allegedly breaching his statutory release.

McCullough is described as a white male, around 6’0″ tall, weighing 187 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a scar on his right cheek, left elbow and shoulders, and has a cross tattoo on his chest.

He is also known to frequent the Windsor, Chatham-Kent, London and Sarnia areas.

Authorities said McCullough is considered dangerous and should not be approached directly.
