Hanging up on emergency communications operators may not have been the wisest move for a pair already wanted by police.
Officers responded to a Bloomfield Road address in Chatham just after 6:30 Wednesday morning following a 9-1-1 hang-up call.
A man and woman were found, both of whom were wanted in connection to a theft investigation dating back to January.
A 41-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with theft and possession of stolen property, while a 41-year-old man from Leamington was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, three counts of mischief, five counts of theft, and five counts of possession of stolen property.
Both were released from custody with dates in court next month.
