A Plympton-Wyoming man is facing almost a dozen charges following multiple incidents of dangerous driving, assault, and vehicle theft in Lambton County.
The Ontario Provincial Police said the 33-year-old accused turned himself in at the Petrolia OPP detachment on Monday, in connection to several incidents that took place in late December.
The suspect is now charged with assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, break and enter, and failing to comply with a release order. He is also facing two counts each of theft of a motor vehicle, theft over $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The 33-year-old was held in custody following a bail hearing.
Authorities said the public provided overwhelming support on social media during the investigation.
