With low temperatures and heavy snowfall in the forecast for Friday and into the weekend, Chatham-Kent is making sure those in need have a place to keep warm.

In response, the municipality said Hope Haven at 183 Wellington St. W in Chatham will operate as a warming centre 24 hours a day from Friday, December 23 to Tuesday, December 27.

The James St Drop-In Center at 719 James St. in Wallaceburg will be offering some extended hours over the weekend. ROCK Missions will also be on-site to assist those in need of shelter.

In addition, Victoria Park Place has available shelter beds for those that need this service.
