Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a man wanted on assault and firearm-related charges who is known to frequent the Chatham-Kent area.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the warrant was issued for 30-year-old Nicholas McCullough after he allegedly breached his statutory release. He is currently serving a six-year, seven-month sentence for aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing it’s unauthorized, discharging a prohibited firearm with intent, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order, and failing to comply with a probation order.

The federal offender is also wanted by the Windsor Police Service for charges of assault causing bodily harm, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, and robbery, among other weapon offences.

McCullough is described as a Caucasian male, 6’0″ tall, weighing 187 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a scar on his right cheek, left elbow and shoulders, and has a cross tattoo on his chest.

He is known to frequent the Windsor, Chatham-Kent, London and Sarnia areas.
