Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and if you’re looking for love online, police have some advice.

Be careful.

Con artists use social media and dating sites to lure people looking for love into sending money, gifts, and compromising pictures.

The Chatham-Kent police say the Romance Scam is pretty straightforward.

The scammer quickly professes their love, takes the chat private through other apps or cell phones, asks for a small gift to prove the target is viable and then asks for inappropriate pictures to blackmail the victim in the future.
