According to the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority, lake levels have climbed 21cm or nine inches since January fist.

That’s forced the authority to issue a standing message for flooding potential on Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie.

That means they’re back in record setting territory, above the January, February and March averages.

Depending on spring weather conditions the authority says lake levels will be similar to last year throughout the summer.

That brings an increased risk of flooding and erosion.
