A big crowd is expected to pack the Wallaceburg UAW hall on Elm St. tonight to discuss the town’s water supple,
There are going to be representatives from Stantec and the municipality on hand to listen to residents.
Ward 5 councillor Carmen McGregor says it’s important speak up on the issue.
“I’m not entirely sure they intended on a third public meeting, but because of the outcry after the last public meeting and the letters that went through to Stantec we opened up the realization that there needs to be further consultation,” says McGregor.”So I think the meeting tonight is extremely crucial for the outcome for where we go with everything that’s coming from Stantec.”
Stantek is recommending we take water from the Lake Erie, like the rest of Chatham-Kent. Doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting gets uderway at 7pm.
