A trio of Chatham-Kent high schools are sending more than 25,000lbs of food to local food banks, with the help of Victory Ford.
Blenheim resident and Pines Student Mikayla Voets is with the Me to We program and says dropping of the food was an incredible experience.
“You don’t really realize it but I’ve had the chance to go to the Chatham and Blenheim food banks, and deliver the food and just seeing how full it gets is so much crazier than just seeing it in piles loaded on the truck,” says Voets.
Students from St. Anne’s, John McGregor and the Pines took part in the annual WE Scare Hunger campaign.
