A Chatham Township man is in hot water with police after being pulled over early this morning.

Shortly after midnight, officers conducted a traffic stop and found the driver was breaking a court-ordered curfew. The man allegedly refused to get out of his vehicle, but eventually complied and was placed under arrest.

A search of the suspect turned up a spring-loaded knife, and police found suspected cocaine in the vehicle.

The 32-year-old has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order, resisting a peace offer, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
