It’s going to be a wet and windy weekend in Chatham-Kent.
Environment Canada has updated its forecast for the next few days with heavy rain, strong winds, and the risk of freezing rain starting tonight and continuing into Sunday.
Officials say we could see total rainfall amounts of 50mm or more, with the bulk coming on Saturday.
Winds, especially along the Lake Erie Shoreline, could gust up to 90 km/hr.
It’s still unclear where and when the rain will cross over to freezing rain, but officials say travel is expected to be impacted right across southern Ontario Saturday into Sunday.
