What’s Closed on New Year’s Day

2017All municipal offices, including the PUC, Health and Family Services, and Public Health, will be closed on Monday, January second.

Libraries across the municipality will be closed Sunday and Monday, reopening on Tuesday.

Public transit will not be available on Sunday for New Year’s Day, but will be running Monday.

The Wallaceburg transfer station will be closed for New Year’s Day, but reopening on Monday, while the Harwich station will be closed until Tuesday.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be running on a holiday schedule on Monday, with out-patient services, routine x-rays, EKGs and ultrasounds not available. The emergency departments in both Wallaceburg and Chatham will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the weekend.

Garbage and recycling collection remains normal next week, despite the delayed stat holiday on Monday.
