A Wheatley man is facing a slew of charges after being pulled over by provincial police in Leamington.
An Essex OPP officer on patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle on Talbot Street West just after 11 Thursday night.
The driver, a 38-year-old Wheatley resident, was arrested and taken to the local detachment for tests.
The accused has since been charged with driving while impaired, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, speeding, failing to surrender his license, two counts of disobeying a stop sign, failing to update the address on his driver’s license, and careless driving.
The driver was also issued a 90-day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
The man was released from custody and will be back in court to face the charges later this month.
