A pair of information meetings are being held to share next steps towards the rehabilitation of downtown Wheatley.
Two public sessions are being held next month to go over the Community Action Plan, outlining key priorities and what comes next for Wheatley in the wake of the 2021 explosion.
An update on the five-year plan was presented to municipal council in February, with the goal of rebuilding Wheatley’s downtown, supporting local businesses, improving tourism, and strengthening the community.
Organizers with the Wheatley Task Force say the upcoming meetings will share key priorities, planned actions, and next steps for Wheatley’s revitalization, and give residents a chance to ask questions.
A virtual session is scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, April 11, followed by an in-person meeting at the Village Resource Centre on Talbot Road East the evening of April 15.
The virtual meeting will be recorded for those who are unable to attend live.
