A local sports team is hoping to cash in on Chatham-Kent’s love of online voting.
The Wildcats novice boys basketball team is looking to take part in the Raptors Ford Drills and Skills Competition in Toronto.
Team secretary Hayley Baker says going to Toronto and playing on the ACC court and meeting some Raptors players would be the trip of a lifetime.
“We put in the application and we were chosen as one of the team, so now we need Chatham-Kent to vote for us,” Baker says. “If they go on (the website) and click on the Chatham-Kent Novice Boys, they can just vote and it’s one vote per day.”
You can cast your vote by visiting the Ford Drills and Skills website.
Voting runs until the end of February.
