Another windy day means an elevated risk of strong waves and potential flooding near Lake St Clair and Lake Erie.

The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch with sustained winds over 30 kilometres an hour expected to continue into tomorrow.

The areas expected to be hardest hit along the Lake Erie shoreline are the north and east sides of Pelee Island and the southeast shoreline of the Municipality of Leamington between Wheatley Harbour and the tip Point Pelee.
