A hearing is set to get underway October 5th for the North Kent Wind 1 project.

Water Wells First spokesman Kevin Jakubec is appealing the construction and requested the delay to allow for the testimony of Dr. Buckingham, a Scottish expert in the field.

“He’s a PhD in mechanical engineering with a specialty for a number of years in investigating wind farms for producing ground vibrations,” says Jakubec. “And then remedying that effect. Vibrations are a form of environmental pollution and Dr. Buckingham is one of the worlds top experts in the field.”

A teleconference will take place Monday to go over the scope of the appeal.

A decision will be no later than January 13th.
