A broken window and a history of harassment have landed a Ridgetown woman in hot water with police.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a house on George Street in Ridgetown at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, after the woman allegedly used a hammer to smash the front window of the home.

Officers arrived at the scene and learned that the woman had also allegedly harassed the homeowners in the past.

As a result, the 40-year-old accused is now charged with criminal harassment and mischief. She was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
