A Windsor couple are facing charges following a break and enter outside Chatham.

Police say the pair broke into a home on Eighth line yesterday afternoon but were spotted by a member of the homeowners family.

Stolen was some purses, wallets, watches and a cell phone.

They managed to get the licence plate number and called it in.

The car was dumped a short distance later.

Police recovered the stolen items and a rifle.

The crooks were found on foot around 3pm near Goudreau Line.
