A Windsor man is facing charges after an argument with his partner turned violent in Ridgetown.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance on George Street at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities said the man was visiting the victim when a verbal argument escalated when the accused allegedly assaulted and threatened the victim. Police also allege the man broke a television in the home.

He was located a short distance away from the home by officers and arrested.

The 47-year-old Windsor man is now charged with assault, uttering threats, and mischief. He was taken to police headquarters and released with conditions and a February court date.
