Windsor Man Clocked Going 166 km/hr on Middle Line

A Windsor man is facing charges after whipping through Chatham-Kent.

Just before 7:30 Saturday night, police received a number of complaints about an erratic driver on Queens Line, travelling at a high rate of speed and swerving across the roadway.

Chatham-Kent Police caught up with the suspect vehicle on Middle Line a short time later and clocked it going 166 kilometers an hour.

Suspecting the driver was under the influence of alcohol, officers administered a roadside breath test. The accused was then taken to police headquarters for more tests.

The Windsor man has now been charged with impaired driving and stunt driving.
