A crash on the 401 in Chatham early Sunday morning has claimed a life.
Police and emergency crews were called out to a single vehicle accident near Orford Rd about 1 am.
The vehicle was westbound when it left the road and came to rest in a treeline.
A 37 year old Windsor woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
No ID has been released.
The Westbound lanes of the highway were closed for about 7 hours for the investigation but have since reopened.
