Windy Conditions Could Spell More Shoreline Trouble

With a wind warning still in effect this morning, conservation officials are keeping close tabs on the Lake Erie shoreline.

According to Environment Canada, gusts from the southwest could reach 80 or 90 kilometres an hour this morning.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority issued a flood watch yesterday with the risk of shoreline damage, erosion, and flooding along high bluff areas and Erie Shore Drive.

Officials say there’s also the risk of freezing wave spray into tomorrow.
