High winds today and into tomorrow could bring more trouble to the Lake Erie shoreline.

A flood watch has been issued by the LTVCA with northeast winds picking up today, gusting to between 40 and 65 kilometres an hour. That could bring flooding to Rondeau Bay area, including Shrewsbury and on the bay side of Erieau into tomorrow morning. There’s also a risk of flooding around the Lighthouse Cove area.

To the north of us, the St Clair Region Conservation Authority is warning of the potential for erosion on the south shore of Lake Huron with waves reaching as high as 2 metres today.

The wind is supposed to slowly subside through the day tomorrow.
