Local residents can expect a blustery day on Wednesday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of southwestern Ontario including Chatham-Kent, warning of strong wind gusts nearing 80 km/h late Wednesday morning and into the afternoon.
The weather agency said temperatures in the mid-double digits on Wednesday will help create the gusty conditions.
Residents should use caution as high winds can toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Drivers should also be mindful of changing road conditions due to the strong winds.
