An awards ceremony honouring individuals for their service in the agricultural sector is returning for its 76th year.
The Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce will host the 76th annual Rural Urban Awards on November 23 at the Chatham-Kent John D. Bradley Convention Centre. The ceremony kicks off at 6 p.m. with a reception, followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 p.m.
Several presentations will be made honouring five award recipients, which include Youth Agriculturist of the Year for 2021 Morgan Anderson, Youth Agriculturist of the Year for 2022 Mitchell Anderson, Agriculture Innovator of the Year Dennis DeBot, and Friend of Agriculture Ken McEwen. Danny Ellis will also be awarded posthumously as Agriculturist of the Year.
