An audiobook published by a local production company has been recognized on an international level.
A Winnie The Pooh audiobook published by Chatham-based Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre has received AudioFile Magazine’s top award — the Earphones Award.
“The award was especially significant as we competed with some of the leading narrators and production companies across North America,” said David Farquhar, the executive producer of the audiobook. “Of the 10 audiobooks reviewed by AudioFile, it was our version that won the award.”
AudioFile Magazine, which is the premier publication of the audiobook industry in North America, bestows the Earphones Award to audio presentations that excel in narrative voice, style, vocal characterizations, appropriateness, and enhancement of the text.
The Winnie The Pooh audiobook is read by multi-award-winning narrator Barbara Rosenblat and helmed by award-winning director George Zarr.
