Winnipeg’s Jerry Bone is one of the featured artists at the Retro Suites Hotel in Chatham.
Jerry visited Chatham last Thursday for the Grand Opening of the new rooms at the downtown hotel. It was the first time he saw his work on display at the Retro Suites.
A full time artist since 1974, Jerry explains how he got involved:
“Previously I’ve been to Chatham where I had a dual show, one at the Art Gallery, and one downtown. That was about two to three years back. Most of the paintings remained have here and they were sold around town and have been hung up”
“What happened was Dan Warrener, a local businessman in Chatham, decided I should have these shows and from the shows, the pieces remained in Chatham where they were gradually sold, and some were sold to this hotel. Apparently they were very well received.”
Jerry’s art combines Greek and Egyptian themes with a modern twist. He visited the hotel last Thursday during the Grand Opening of the new rooms at the Retro Suites.
