Two Christmas trees will light up Chatham-Kent this week in honour of loved ones across the municipality.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation is holding its first Christmas Wish Tree lighting ceremony at the hospital’s Wallaceburg site on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The second tree lighting will be held at the Chatham hospital site on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The ceremonies are part of the foundation’s annual Christmas Wish Tree campaign, which provides an opportunity for members of the community to honour the memory of a loved one by making a donation in their name. For each donation, a light is added to the trees in recognition.
All money raised during the campaign will help to pay for a new patient ventilator for CKHA’s Chatham site and five new vital sign monitors for CKHA’s Wallaceburg site.
