Allegedly claiming to be her sister has resulted in charges for a Blenheim woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the area of Thornhill Drive in Chatham at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
While speaking with the officer, the woman allegedly attempted to conceal her identity by providing police with her sister’s name and information.
Authorities discovered the woman did not have a driver’s licence and she was arrested.
As a result, a 22-year-old Blenheim woman is charged with obstructing police and she was also issued a provincial offence notice for driving with a licence. The accused was later released with a future court date.
