A local woman has been charged following an assault in Dresden.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the assault on Thursday shortly before 3 p.m. after an argument between a man and a woman escalated.
During the altercation, a bag containing several items was thrown at the victim, a 36-year-old Corunna man. The bag struck a nearby window, but no damage or injuries were reported.
A 39-year-old Dresden woman was later located and arrested on Sydenham Street. She is now charged with one count of assault with a weapon and will answer the charge in court next month.
