A Chatham woman is facing charges following a theft investigation in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent Police were called to Walmart on McNaughton Avenue shortly after 6pm on Sunday and say the woman allegedly smuggled electronics and food out of the store without any attempt to pay for the items.
The woman got into a vehicle and tried to leave the scene, but was stopped by police in the parking lot.
The 36-year-old is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
She was released from custody with conditions and will have to face the charges in court next month.
