A domestic disturbance has resulted in an assault charge for a Chatham woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a man and a woman who have been in a long-term cohabitating relationship were involved in an argument on Monday when the situation turned violent.
The woman contacted police just before 8:30 p.m. following the incident.
A 58-year-old woman was arrested and is now charged with one count of assault. She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
