A Chatham woman has been arrested after a shoplifting incident.
Police were called to a business on wellington Street West around 5 yesterday afternoon. Officers were able to get a description of a female suspect, and tracked down the accused a short distance away.
Authorities say the woman was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 49-year-old is now charged with theft and possession of stolen property under $5000.
She’ll have to appear in court on March 23.
