A Thamesville woman has been arrested after a scuffle with police earlier this week.

An officer on patrol spotted a woman out for a stroll on Wednesday night, and recognized her as being wanted for breaking probation.

As the officer approached, the woman ran off, but was tracked down after a short chance.

Authorities say the accused hit the officer in the face and kicked him, but a taser helped bring her under control.

The 44-year-old is charged with resisting arrest and assaulting police. She was later released with another date in court next month
