A Chatham woman will answer to a judge next month after being pulled over for impaired driving.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called on Wednesday at around 6:30 p.m. about a possible drunk driver in Chatham. Details about the vehicle and driver were also provided to authorities.
A vehicle matching the description was later located by officers and stopped on Queen Street. Believing the driver has been drinking, police arrested the driver and brought her to police headquarters for breath tests. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.
As a result, the 36-year-old accused is charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. She has since been released with conditions and a court date in August.
