A local man is facing charges after an argument turned violent in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to an address on Murray Street for a domestic disturbance on Tuesday at around 12:25 p.m.
Authorities said an argument had escalated between a man and woman, resulting in the man assaulting the woman causing injuries to her forehead, ear and jaw.
As a result, a 52-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and is now charged with two counts of assault. He has since been released with conditions and a future court date.
