
Charges have been laid after a man allegedly drove his truck into his girlfriend in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a section of Murray Street on Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m. regarding an incident of intimate partner violence.
Following an investigation, police learned that a man had been involved in a confrontation when he drove his truck over a curb, striking his girlfriend.
The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
A 56-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested at the scene and is now charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous driving. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.
