An assault charge has been laid after a domestic dispute turned violent in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Scane Street after a woman was struck in the head.
The woman was not physically injured.
A 70-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is now charged with assault. He has been released from custody with conditions and a date in court next month.
