A Chatham man has been charged after a woman was injured during a domestic assault in Dover Township.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a home on Friday at around 8:30 p.m. after an argument between a man and woman escalated into violence.
The woman suffered visible injuries to her head as a result of the assault.
As a result, a 71-year-old Chatham man was arrested and is now charged with assault causing bodily harm. He has since been released from custody with a May court date.
