An arrest has been made after a woman was assaulted and taken to hospital.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to an assault at an unspecified location in Chatham shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Authorities said a man and a woman were arguing in a vehicle when the man assaulted the woman. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.
Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for a 47-year-old Chatham man.
The suspect was arrested on Junction Avenue at around 1 p.m. on Sunday. He has been charged with one count of assault and was later released with conditions and a March court date.
