
An arrest has been made after a woman was held against her will at knife-point in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an 18-year-old woman was threatened with a knife during an altercation inside a vehicle on Tuesday, shortly before 11 p.m.
The woman suffered minor injuries during the incident but was able to escape and contact police.
Following an investigation, officers located and arrested a 23-year-old Chatham man. He is now charged with assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with a probation order.
He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
